 The Plot
« Thread Started on Jun 6, 2008, 11:42pm »

The cheerleader was saved.

The explosion was diverted.

The villain was left for dead.

So what else could happen?

The heroes of the day attempted to maintain -or form- calm and normal lives, hidden in plain sight among the normal humans. Only a few noted the changes that came with Daniel Linderman's death: at least three weakened yet loosely allied splinters of what was once a juggernaut force known as The Company.

Years passed before anyone discovered a fatal mistake in underestimating any of those fractured remnants. Halfway across the globe, a Company strong-arm known as Uluru discovered a way to take over the world through devastating microscopic means, everything from simple nerve agents to variations of the little-known Shanti virus.

At first, Uluru's efforts were covert. Information wars broke between the majority Company and the rogue branch. Files, projects, and even people were captured for the knowledge they might contain, but that didn't satisfy Uluru's need to dominate mankind. Spy networks changed from stealing information to sabotage, then spies became soldiers. Sabotage became covert warfare, and the Company was nearly left in shambles.

After the first wave of seemingly unexplained deaths, heroes emerged from their hidden lives, joined with new and unexpected allies to combat the unseen. These brave men and women gathered in unforeseen numbers, while the Company became a shadow of its former self, with each splintered faction fading into a distinctive choosing of sides.

This is the battleground in which we now stand. Can the heroes save the world from disaster yet again, or will this previously unheard of villain lay everything we know in destructive ruin?
